The Boulder, Broomfield and Longmont areas had one player make the all-state list for boys tennis this fall. CHSAA awarded first-team recognition to the state champions in each line as well as the runner-up in No. 1 singles. Second team went mostly to the state runners-up.

Niwot senior Luke Weber was the only area athlete to play his way into the finals during the Class 4A state tournament, where he fell 6-0, 6-0 to No. 1 singles champion Nathan Gold out of Kent Denver. The Cougar fought through tough competition but managed to drop his other three state opponents in just two sets.

That effort, along with his 18-5 season record, earned Weber the Longmont Times-Call tennis player of the year.
