200 medley relay — Legacy (Sam White, So.; Max Kulbida, Jr.; Kyle Raskay, Jr., Jack Tran, Jr.): After surging to a time of 1:34.18 at the Front Range League championships, the foursome delivered a seventh place, 1:34.68 mark at the Class 5A state championships.

200 freestyle — Pierce Bigelow, Sr., Silver Creek: The swimmer of the year checked in at 1:44.07 at the Class 4A state meet, earning him fourth place in the event. The senior also was fourth in the 500 free (4:48.84) and helped the Raptors to two top-five relay finishes.

200 individual medley — Kyle Raskay, Jr., Legacy: A 1:54.58 swam at the FRL championships was the area’s best time in the event, and Raskay went on to place seventh in 5A.

50 freestyle — Tegan Barrier, So., Legacy: A sprint freestyle specialist who had some of the area’s top times in the 50, 100 and 200, Barrier placed 10th at 5A with a 21.49 mark and had a season best 21.27 at the FRL meet.

Diving — Jacob Dowlin, Jr. Silver Creek: The Northern Conference champion, also a swimmer, scored 367.50 points at 4A state to secure seventh place.

100 butterfly — Aidan Shepston, Jr. Legacy: Had a season-best 51.62 mark at the FRL meet, which parlayed into a top-20 placing at state for the Lightning.

100 freestyle — Luke Corson, So. Monarch: Also scoring in the 50 free and on the 400 free relay at 5A state, Corson placed 13th in the 100 with a time of 48.12.

500 freestyle — Sam White, So., Legacy: His 4:46.30 was the 14th-best overall time in Colorado in 2021, and at state he went 4:46.35 to earn him eighth place.

200 free relay — Legacy (Jack Tran, Jr.; Thomas Nguyen, So.; Aidan Shepston, Jr.; Tegan Barrier, So.): The young foursome held onto fifth place at 5A state (1:25.77) after posting an area-best 1:25.68 at the FRL meet.

100 backstroke — Jack Tran, Jr., Legacy: He placed eighth at state after a second-place, 51.85 time at the FRL meet.

100 breaststroke — Layton Sealman, Fr. Fairview: The only local individual Front Range League champion, Sealman went 57.65 at the FRL meet before busting off a 10th-place time of 58.37 at 5A state.

400 free relay — Legacy (Sam White, So.; Tegan Barrier, So.; Aidan Shepston, Jr.; Kyle Raskay, Jr.): The Lightning swept the relays at the FRL championships, the this final foursome impressed with a time of 3:05.65 that was nearly 10 seconds faster than any other local team in 2021.
