200 medley relay — Fairview (Jenna Reznicek, Sr.; Julianne Jones, Jr..; Edith Simecek, So.; Morgan Lukinac, Jr.): The relay finished second to Fossil Ridge at the 5A state meet in a time of 1 minute, 41.54 seconds. The mark was also the second-best in the state this season.

200 freestyle — Karolina Bank, Fairview, Jr.: Mary Codevilla had the top time in the state, but Bank wasn’t far behind as she posted a time of 1:49.93 to finish second in 5A. She was one of only four girls in the state to break 1:50 during the season.

200 individual medley — Sabrina Rachjaibun, Legacy, So.: The sophomore edged past Fairview’s Julianne Jones at the 5A state meet, finishing third in 2:04.16 to Jones’ 2:04.59. Rachjaibun’s mark was the fifth-fastest in the state.

50 freestyle — Morgan Lukinac, Fairview, Jr.: Lukinac finished third at the 5A meet, touching in 23.46 seconds. The mark was fifth-best in the state this season.

Diving — Mary Kate Cavanaugh, Holy Family, Fr.: Cavanaugh had the best 11-dive score in the area, recording 477.60 points in a dual against Skyline. She ended up finishing second at the 3A state meet.

100 butterfly — Edith Simecek, Fairview, So.: Only two swimmers in the state broke 54 seconds in the event and Simecek was one of them. The sophomore finished second to Fossil Ridge’s Lucy Bell at the 5A state meet, going 53.87.

100 freestyle — Indigo Armon, Legacy, Jr.: The junior had the sixth-fastest time in the event, touching in 51.22 seconds at the Front Range League Adams 12 tournament. She ended up finishing 10th at the 5A state meet.

500 freestyle — Mary Codevilla, Niwot, Jr.: The three-time swimmer of the year broke the 4A state record, finishing in 4:51.98. The junior won this and the 200 freestyle state titles for the fourth and fifth championships of her career.

200 free relay — Fairview (Mosier; Julia Urbanowski, So.; Bank; Lukinac): The Knights won the relay at 5A state, finishing in 1:33.80 and beating Cherry Creek by sixth-tenths of a second.

100 backstroke — Sydney Bales, Legacy, Jr.: Bales won the event at 5A state, finishing in 54.07 seconds. The time was the best in the state, trumping Heritage’s uber-talented swimmer Anna Shaw (54.39) and Fairview’s Jenna Reznicek (54.53).

100 breaststroke — Julianne Jones, Fairview, Jr.: Jones had the sixth-fastest time in the 200 IM, one spot behind Legacy’s Sabrina Rachjaibun. She was also a standout in this event, having the state’s 11th-fastest time at 1:03.51.

400 free relay — Fairview (Mosier, Reznicek, Simecek, Bank): The relay finished just behind Fossil Ridge in the state’s fastest race of the season. Fossil Ridge finished with the top time in the state at 3:25.15, followed by Fairview’s second-fastest time in the state (3:25.80).

Coach — Emily Austin, Broomfield: The Eagles have placed themselves up near the top of Class 4A. And they look to stay there. They finished sixth at the state meet for a second straight season. And in it, they had 11 times inside the top 15.
