Giles Schmid, Boulder basketball: In a big 3-0 week that put people on notice about the Panthers, Schmid exemplified the team’s shared accountability by doing just enough good things everywhere. He had 14 points and five assists against Regis, then turned around and dished out seven assists the next time out against Cherry Creek. The Panthers also beat Mountain Vista.

Kandice Chandra, Legacy swimming: As the Lightning won their 15-team invitational on Saturday, Chandra nailed a top time in the 100 fly as well as served on both of the team’s winning relays (200 medley, 400 free).

Caden Silva, Skyline wrestling: Silva pinned his way to the 170-pound title at the Denver North Viking Invitational, securing four falls in a total of 4 minutes, 7 seconds. He’s 8-1 on the season.

Deb Altshuler, Erie basketball: The Tigers won the Centaurus Warrior Classic thanks to a group effort, but Altshuler secured two games of at least 15 points in the tournament and hit five 3-pointers in the championship against Brighton. She also averaged eight rebounds in the three games.
