Henry Blackburn, Fairview football: Blackburn entered the state record books this week, securing five touchdown receptions in a 40-8 win over Fossil Ridge. The state record for a single game is six, but Blackburn added his name to a short list for second-most all-time.

Elena Free, Legacy softball: Free set Legacy on a path to the 5A state tournament for the 15th time in the program’s 20 seasons, getting three hits and all three RBI’s off Loveland’s Laurin Krings in a regional championship win while also hitting a double and knocking in a run against Douglas County.

Times-Call:

Neil Wilcox, Niwot tennis: Seeking his first state title, Wilcox was masterful in rallying against a tough opponent at 4A No. 1 singles. He lost the first set to Cheyenne Mountain’s Joey Geisz, 6-2, but responded with dominance dropping just four games the following two sets.

Brooklyn Enny, Lyons softball: The Lions are state-bound for the first time since 2010, and in the regional at Riverdale Ridge the freshman had four hits, scored three times, drove in five runs and knocked her fifth home run of the year.
