Caden Peters, Broomfield football: In a week where Broomfield needed to control the clock a bit, Peters had 33 carries for 278 yards and two touchdowns to help the Eagles get to 6-0. Peters has 763 yards his past three games.

Quin Gregg, Lyons cross country: The season is in the home stretch and Gregg keeps gaining momentum after winning the Mile High League Championships in Lafayette on Friday with a time of 19:53.


Jackson Ramer, Frederick football: Frederick is 6-0 and won its first league game on Saturday with great offense and defense. Ramer secured three sacks and eight total tackles in the 45-7 win over Northfield.

Faith Hale, Mead softball: The Mavericks take a four-game win streak into regionals, and Hale (.425 season batting average) has been great. Last week, she tallied six hits in nine plate appearances, scored three runs and drove in three more.
