First team

Aubri Braecklein, So., Jefferson Academy: After finishing sixth at the Class 3A state tournament her freshman year, Braecklein followed up by finishing tied for second place and four strokes back of the top spot this season.

Jefferson Academy’s Aubri Braecklein finished tied for second as this year’s state tournmaent.

Jessica Mason, Fr., Holy Family: The future remains bright for Holy Family with Mason stepping in her first season and finishing fifth overall in the Class 4A state tournament. Her play with Schalk could make Holy Family one of the teams in the hunt for the team title at state next year.

Hailey Schalk, Jr., Holy Family: The BoCoPreps.com Golfer of the Year won her third state title and her first in Class 4A this spring. With the win, she will look to become the first four-time state champion in 2020.

Timbre Shehee, Fr., Mead: The first female state qualifier in Mead program history proved she belongs by finishing tied for 9th at the Class 4A state tournament with an 86 (+14).

Julia Solem, Jr., Niwot: Solem was the top finisher for Niwot at state, finishing tied for 15th in the field. She led the way for the Cougars to finish second in the final standings at state.

 

Meghan Vogt, Jr., Broomfield: Vogt did not get the chance to battle Loveland’s Lauren Lehigh for the title on the second day of the state tournament due to snow and settles for her best finish in second place. She will be one of the golfers to watch in Class 5A next year.

Coach of the year — Ed Weaver, Niwot: There was no drop off between the play from the underclassmen and upperclassmen for Niwot this season, which helped them bring home the second-place trophy at the Class 4A state tournament.
