Kyle Saunders, Longmont Christian baseball: In a pair of wins against Gilpin County and Standley Lake, the sophomore went 7-for-9 at the plate with two extra-base hits and stole five bases for the Trojans, who are off to a 7-4 start.

Rebecca Pavot, Longmont girls tennis: At her team’s host tournament on Friday, she won the No. 1 singles title with a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the finals to help the Trojans, who won six of seven finals, win the team championship.
