FIRST TEAM

Attack – Travis Hitt, Jr., Monarch: Leading the Coyotes with 49 points, he finished the season with 23 goals and 26 assists to set the bar high for his senior season in 2019.

Attack – Gavyn Pure, Sr., Dawson: The state’s all-time points leader and two-time BoCoPreps.com Player of the Year, the senior put together his fourth straight 100-point season with a total of 120 while leading the Mustangs back to the state championship game.

Attack – Hunter Watts, Sr., Dawson: The Mustangs senior had 34 goals and 40 assists to finish the spring with 74 points, which was good for ninth best in the state.

Midfield – Tyler Bradley, Sr., Monarch: An all-conference middie in the Front Range League, his two-way play impressed opposing coaches and his 26 points were fourth on the Coyotes.

Midfield – Ryan Reffel, Jr., Jefferson Academy: Second on the Coyotes in points with 47, he was second team all-conference in the tough Pikes Peak League.

Midfield – Jack Shams, Sr., Dawson: Not only were his 47 points third most among the Mustangs, the first team all-conference midfielder was one of the most dynamic in the Pikes Peak League and racked up 55 ground balls to go with a .597 shot percentage.

Midfield – Riley Welsch, Jr., Jefferson Academy: Playing in just 15 games, he still finished eighth in the state with 74 points, which included 38 goals and 36 assists and earned him first team all-conference honors in the Pikes Peak League.

LSM – Robert Brazanskas, So., Monarch: The 10th-grader made a name for himself with the long pole this season leading the Coyotes with 5.3 ground balls per game and being voted first team all-conference.

Defense – Aidan Abram, Jr., Dawson: Part of a fearsome duo of defensemen that anchored the Mustangs’ at the back, he was named to the Pikes Peak all-conference first team while grabbing over 50 ground balls and even spending some critical moments in the face-off circle.

Defense – Sage Gardner, Jr., Dawson: The other half of the Mustangs’ defensive duo, he was also named all-conference and to the CHSAA all-state first team in Class 4A along with Abram.

Defense – Harry Pfeiffer, Fr., Fairview: Emerging as one of the top young players in the Front Range League, he was named to the all-conference first team defense.

Defense – Ben Warn, Jr., Boulder: The Panthers’ top defenseman in 2018 and one of the best one-on-one defenders in the area, he was name to the all-conference first team in the Front Range League.

Faceoff – Dylan Haines, Sr., Monarch: Another all-conference first teamer for the Coyotes, he led the team and the area with a .632 face-off percentage.

Goalie – Dawson Santangelo, So., Dawson: His .588 save percentage was topes in the area and 19th best in the state throughout a season that included four playoff opponents.

Coach of the Year – Peter Devlin, Dawson: He led the Mustangs to a Class 4A runner-up finish for the third straight year and had the Mustangs ranked No. 1 for most of the season while they lost just two out of their 19 games.
