Harrison Lierz, Broomfield swimming: Just a sophomore, he became the Eagles first state champion since 2014 by winning not one, but two titles at the 5A meet, touching the wall first in the 200 (1:39.12) and 500 (4:34.18) free.

Marlena Preigh, Fairview track: Using a strong kick down the homestretch, the Knight star was able to hold off pre-race favorite Madison Mooney of Broomfield to capture the 5A 800 meter state championship in 2:09.19.
