Volleyball: Former Berthoud coach Agho tabbed to take over Niwot

Niwot High School has hired Daisha Agho to be the new volleyball coach. Coach Agho spent the last eight season as the head coach at Berthoud High School, leading the Spartans to the state tournament in three of the last four seasons. “With coach Agho, we are not only getting a coach, but we are also getting a mentor for young woman,” the school said in a press release. “The relationships she has developed with her athletes, has been the backbone of her success. Winning Tri Valley coach of the year, three-time regional champion, and recent state tournament experience, coach Agho is the type of fit for our program that we feel can take us to the next level.”

“We have an extremely talented and experience group of girls coming back to the program, and we are thrilled to have coach Agho at the head of our program.”

Agho, who attended Thompson Valley High School, earned a scholarship to play in college and spent 10 years coaching at Berthoud. She also was an assistant coach on the Spartans’ state championship girls track team.
