Seraphin Castelino, Fr., Fairview: The Player of the Year was just too consistent for the field at the state tournament and became the second straight Knights freshman to win state and earn this honor.

Annie Chen, Jr., Boulder: It is no small feat to make the state tournament at No. 1 singles and the Boulder junior, despite her early exit, deserves to be here.

Natalie Munson, Sr., Fairview: Placed at the state tournament all four years, including a fourth place finish this year at No. 2 singles.

Sophie Pearson, Fr. Fairview: Will be remembered for her dramatic victory at No. 3 singles that ultimately won the team championship for the Knights, ending Cherry Creek’s 19-year run.

Julia Pentz, So., Niwot: Won an incredibly difficult 4A Northern Regional tournament to get to state at No. 1 singles.

Trini Somasundaram, Fr., Peak to Peak: Along with her sister Trisha, have formed a nice 1-2 punch for the Pumas for years to come. Qualified for the 4A state tournament at No. 2 singles.

Taylor Thulson, So., Niwot: Has finished third each of the last two season at No. 2 singles for the Cougars. Would love nothing more to improve on that next season.

Clare Lupo, Sr./Denali Pinto, So., Fairview: Yes, it’s a No. 4 doubles team making the list, but this first year varsity duo is more than worthy. They were the lone doubles champs for the Knights at state.

Carolyn Roberts, Sr./Ellie Savage, Jr., Fairview: These two have climbed the Fairview ladder, playing together each of the last three seasons. Rallied to place fourth at No. 1 doubles after losing in the first round.

An Tran, So./Brianna Bartlett, Sr., Holy Family: On a deep Tigers squad, this tandem once again made it all the way to the No. 3 doubles titles match.

Coach of the year — Susan Stensrud, Fairview: The longtime prep coach finally enjoyed success when her Knights ended the 19-year reign of Cherry Creek at the top of the Class 5A ranks. The ultimate players-coach, Stensrud has great rapport with all of her players.
