Despite sticking with Fort Collins for most of the game, the Fairview boys couldn’t match the Lambkins’ pace in the fourth quarter and fell 74-54 on the road. Fairview (7-10 overall, 3-3 league) struggled with turnovers and defending from the three-point line.

“We turned the ball over too much,” Fairview coach Patrick Burke said. “Moving forward, we’ve got to take care of the ball, and we need to defend better.”

Leading the Knights offensively was senior Frank Ryder with 19 points and senior Calvin Mooz chipped in eight points.

Coach Burke acknowledged sickness going around the team, adding another challenge to beating an 11-6 Fort Collins squad.

“We still have six games, so we need to get healthy and work on some things,” Burke said.
