Fairview’s Alex Weseman, middle, beats Gateway’s Alan Pinon, left, and Coby Zazueta Osorio to the ball during their game in Boulder, Colorado.

As a result of last night’s snowfall creating unplayable field conditions at Sports Authority Stadium in Parker, the Class 5A boys soccer state semifinals have been moved from Wednesday to Thursday.

Top-seeded Fairview (15-2-1) will face 28th-seed Mountain Vista (11-6-1) at Noon. Second-seeded Broomfield (16-2), the reigning 5A state champion, will take on No. 6 seed Heritage (13-5) at 2 p.m.

The Colorado High School Activities Association announced the postponement just after noon on Wednesday.
