Chase Brown, Dawson lacrosse: The Mustangs are surging to the 4A semifinals for the first time, and Brown had two high-caliber playoff games last week to help get them there. The senior attack had six goals and six assists for the week, including four and four (eight points) in a 20-5 first-round win against Summit. Brown’s season stats are balanced, too: 45 goals and 43 assists.

Girls

Alexis Carroll, Niwot track and field: The opportunities were few and far between at the St. Vrain Invite to post season-best times, but Carroll made her final regular season run in the 110 meter hurdles count. She finished second in the race. but her time of 15.22 seconds turned out to be the season’s top time in Class 4A . Carroll, a sophomore, also finished tied for third in the long jump at the rain-filled meet on Friday.
