Darek Huff, Broomfield, wrestling: Rolled to the 5A Region 2 title at 126 pounds by pinning Gateway’s Jordan White in 2:51 in the semifinals and pinning David Opheim of ThunderRidge in 1:22 in the title bout.

Kanyon Raper, Lyons, wrestling: Recorded pins in all three of his matches at the 2A Region 3 tournament, topping Yuma’s Colin Skelton in 5:45 to claim the championship at 145 pounds.

Gray Hill, Shining Mountain, basketball: The junior made 9 of 11 field goals and 3 of 4 free throws to lead the Lions to a road win at Elbert.

Paisley Sheehan and Katharine Wilson, Shining Mountain, basketball: Both players scored 14 points in the Lions’ win at Elbert.
