Boys

Justinian Jessup, Longmont basketball: The Trojans were greatly tested last week in three games, but LHS survived to improve to 19-0 on the season. Jessup is among a throng of individuals who helped the cause, but his 24-point effort against Niwot was among the team’s best all season. In that game, Jessup was 8 of 14 from the floor, grabbed six rebounds, had five assists, four steals and two blocked shots. Jessup also tallied 11 points and three blocked shots in LHS’ one-point win over Class 4A No. 2 Holy Family on Saturday.

Girls

Megan Oldham, Skyline diving: Oldham was awarded the Tri-Valley League athlete of the year at the league meet Saturday, and she concluded her regular season by dominating the diving competition at Windsor High School. She scored 501.20 points — her second time scoring above 500 — to win the league title by more than 100 points. With Oldham and Niwot’s Maddie Barkow competing this week, Longmont area has a legitimate chance of being home to the next Class 4A state diving champ.
