Chris Helbig, Holy Family basketball: The junior turned in a pair of stellar shooting performances while leading the Tigers to Tri-Valley League wins against Skyline and Mead. In a 59-40 win at Skyline, Helbig led the Tigers with 19 points on a 9 for 12 night from the field. Helbig went 11 for 18 with 25 points against Mead and recorded a team-leading total of six rebounds in each game.


Raegen Rohn, Monarch basketball: Rohn put together a pair of solid all-around efforts while leading the Coyotes to wins against Fossil Ridge and Poudre. In a top-10 showdown against Fossil Ridge, Rohn scored 12 points and led an impressive defensive effort with three steals. Three nights later at Poudre, Rohn went 6 for 10 with a team-leading 16 points, six rebounds and four steals. Rohn went 6 for 6 at the free throw line over the two games.
