Monarch announced Friday that Amber Sullivan will be the school’s next boys swimming coach.

Sullivan, a Longmont High graduate, grew up swimming in the area and has served as an assistant for the boys and girls squads at Longmont and Silver Creek.

Most recently, she has been the head coach of the Lafayette Seals, who compete in the same Boulder Valley Summer Swim League that Sullivan competed in for 15 years, beginning at the age of 5.

Sullivan is certified in several areas of fitness, including TRX suspension training and the use of kettlebells for strength and endurance.

She’ll take over the Coyotes for the upcoming spring season and first had a meet and greet with the team and parents on Friday.
