Now a junior at Emory University in suburban Atlanta, former Peak to Peak guard Khadijah Sayyid is having a stellar campaign for the Division-III Eagles.

Former Peak to Peak guard Khadijah Sayyid has contributed to the Emory women’s basketball team since her freshman season, but the diminutive guard is enjoying a breakout campaign this winter.

The 5-foot-2 Sayyid recently wrangled in her third University Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Player of the Week award after averaging 16 points, nine rebounds and 4.5 steals in three games.

Those numbers essentially are on par with her team-best season totals for the Eagles (8-3). She averages 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds and is shooting .452 from 3-point range.

The Division-III Eagles have posted a 48-16 record since Sayyid arrived at the suburban Atlanta school at the start of the 2012-13 season.
