Fairview graduate Eric Kronenberg is settling in quite nicely at the University of Denver.
After scoring just three goals in 16 games for the Pioneers’ soccer team as a freshman in 2013, Kronenberg has erupted so far in 2014. Thanks to his stellar start, Kronenberg was named the Summit League male Athlete of the Month for August/September.
Heading into this weekend, Kronenberg has tallied five goals and an assist in 11 games. Kronenberg began his season-opening tear by scoring the winning goal in a 2-1 win against nationally-ranked Cal State-Northridge on Aug. 29 before notching an overtime winner against Navy just days later.
“Eric has an incredibly bright future ahead of him,” head coach Bobby Muuss said in a statement released by DU. “He is a very focused young man that has a desire to get better each and every day. He is a great teammate both on and off the field. He is committed to the team’s goals and the team as a whole.”
