Dane Myers, Mead football: Leading his team to its first win of the season, and since Oct. 18 of last year, Myers racked up yardage in bunches during a 48-20 win over Vista PEAK. The junior running back broke free for 204 yards and four touchdowns against the Bison. Myers leads the Mavericks with 385 rushing and 196 yards receiving this season.

 

Cori Kirschling, Niwot volleyball: It was a rough week for the Cougars in terms of their win-loss record but Kirschling still stood out on the attack. In a pair of losses, the senior outside hitter tallied 21 kills against Mountain View and 10 kills against 5A’s Ralston Valley. Kirschling leads the Cougars with 3.6 kills per set and 87 overall.
