CENTAURUS WARRIORS

COACH: Chad Senseney (11th year, 60-47 record)

LAST YEAR: 2-7, 2-3 Class 3A Northern League.

RETURNING STARTERS: Shayne Albertson (Sr., QB/WR/DB/K, 6-0, 175);Matt Buchler (Sr., RB/DB, 5-5, 165); Mike DeVries (Sr., OL/DL, 6-2, 250); Matt Maierhofer (Sr., C/DT, 6-1, 250); Colton Oglesbee (Sr., TE/LB, 5-9, 180).

OTHERS TO WATCH: Danny Garrels (Jr., TE/DE, 5-11, 220); Cevin Perez (Jr., OL/DL, 5-10, 215).

DIVISION-I PROSPECTS: DeVries (verbally committed to Air Force).

MUST-SEE GAME: Oct. 10 vs. D’Evelyn.

STRENGTHS: Buchler is one of the classification’s most multifaceted playmakers, and few 3A teams boast a budding Division-I lineman, as the Warriors do in DeVries.

WEAKNESSES: With only four wins over the past two seasons, the Warriors still need to learn how to close out games. Also, young at many of the skill positions.
