When: Friday, 10 a.m., Machebeuf High School

Records: ThunderRidge (14-7); Fairview (20-1)

(7) Durango vs. (2) Longmont

When: Friday, 12:30 p.m., Cherokee Trail High School

The top horses in the rotation have combined to toss just over 102 innings … Longmont qualified for state in dramatic fashion with a 4-3, nine-inning win over Northern League-rival Broomfield in the District 5 title game … Durango features a balanced lineup with four players with at least 20 RBIs. Isiah Mayberry and Jeremy Szura each have 24 … Blake Dunlap and Lawrence Mayberry have been the Demons’ top pitchers … The winner will take on the Valor Christian-Wheat Ridge winner at 3 p.m. while the loser will wait until Saturday to play.

Niwot also has gotten good run production from Tanner Kirkpatrick, who has driven in 23 … Niwot has lost only two in-state games, one to Silver Creek and one to Broomfield … Green Mountain has a clear-cut ace in junior Josh Ramirez (9-2, 2.64 ERA). He has logged 53 innings, almost 30 more than anyone else on the staff … Wyatt Featherston has given the Rams lineup some thunder with six homers and 29 RBIs and Cole Shetterly has added five round-trippers and 31 RBIs … The winner will take on the Palmer Ridge-Evergreen winner at 3 p.m. while the loser will wait until Saturday to play.

(7) Florence vs. (2) Holy Family

When: Friday, 12:30 p.m., Niwot High School

Records: Florence (14-7); Holy Family (19-1)

Notes: The Holy Family lineup is power-packed, led by Creighton-bound shortstop Devlin Granberg in the No. 3 hole. But it doesn’t stop there. In the state-clinching win against Platte Valley, seventh-place hitter Jacob Tinnon went 3 for 4 with a homer and four RBIs … Zach Trombley has served as the Tigers’ ace on a dominant staff that also includes left-hander Austin Brown … Trombley one-hit Platte Valley in a five-inning win … Florence enters the tournament winners of six of its past seven games. The Huskies defeated Sterling and The Classical Academy in districts to reach state … The winner takes on the Faith Christian-Kent Denver winner at 3 p.m., while the loser will wait until Saturday to play … Faith Christian handed Holy Family its lone loss of the season, a 6-2 decision on April 26.
