Kyle Leahy, Erie baseball: Leahy, a junior, had his best stuff for a game the Tigers needed to ensure a playoff spot, achieving a rare feat by pitching a perfect game in an 11-0 win against Roosevelt last Saturday. Leahy needed just 49 pitches and struck out six batters in the five-inning game, but also added a pair of hits and two RBIs in the Tigers win. For the season, Leahy improved to 5-2 on the mound with a 1.03 earned run average.

Meagan Londa, Niwot tennis: The Cougars are going to be busy down in Pueblo this weekend thanks to a well-rounded performance in the Class 4A Region 4 tournament in Greeley. Londa was tough game-to-game throughout the event, going 3-0 and not dropping more than two games in a set. In the championship match, she upended University’s Alison Smerud in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0. She improved to 14-1 on the season.
