Notes: Fairview finished third at last year’s state finals, but the Knights may be hard pressed to repeat that effort this year. … The Knights’ Li has won three consecutive state titles, though all three came at No. 3 singles. … Fairview’s best state title contender may be Munson, who was the state runner-up at No. 2 singles last year as a freshman. … After failing to qualify any players last year, Boulder’s Young put the Panthers back in the state tournament by placing second at No. 3 singles at the Region 2 tournament last week.

Notes: The Niwot Cougars placed seventh in the team scoring at last year’s 4A state tournament and the Cougars have qualified their entire lineup again in 2014. … Glenna Gee-Taylor for 4A Region 5 champion Centaurus is the highest-placing local returning singles player in this year’s tournament after taking fourth at No. 1 singles in 2013. … Longmont’s lone state qualifiers Kelle Kloster and Maddie Precht were a doubles pair last season and will both play singles as seniors. … The Erie Tigers qualified two doubles pairs this season, ending a five-year state-qualifying drought.
