Connor Fox, Boulder lacrosse: The Panthers saw an exceptional turnaround over the second half of the season, and while it wasn’t enough to make the playoffs, Fox and his teammates have something to build on. Finishing the year with a 2-1 week, Fox, a sophomore, scored nine total points including three goals and two assists against Chatfield. He finished with 47 points (20 goals, 27 assists) to lead the team.

Glenna Gee-Taylor, Centaurus tennis: The Warriors are feeling good about sending a contingency of athletes to state this year, winning the Class 4A Region 5 tournament this past Saturday. Gee-Taylor once again will be part of the caravan at No. 1 singles after bouncing back from an injury to defeat Broomfield’s Dayna DeMeritte 6-2, 6-1 in the regional championship match. After missing several matches through the season for various reasons, the senior appears to be peaking just in time for the state tournament.
