Ryan Willis, Holy Family track: Willis is not too far removed from a state basketball championship, but he appears to have more in store for spring. Competing as a hurdler, Willis recently posted the state’s top time — that’s all classifications — in the 300 at the Mountain Range Mustang Invite, dusting a solid field in 38.82 seconds. He also won the 110 race by more than three-tenths of a second.
Keile Kropf, Boulder soccer: The schedule hasn’t exactly bombarded the Panthers yet as they have played just five games heading into Thursday’s cross-town showdown against Fairview, but they’re off to a solid start at 3-1-1, including 2-0-1 in Front Range League play. Kropf helped Boulder get its second league win last week, scoring twice in a 5-0 victory at Horizon. She’s the third Panther to score multiple goals in a game this season.
