    Niwot's Lauren Sharpe

Kevin McClanahan, Erie track: Saturday’s weather cleared enough for a good, competitive RE-1J District track meet at Everly-Montgomery Field, and McClanahan showed his versatility with three event wins for the first-place Tigers. The junior edged the field in the 100 meter dash in 11.28 seconds, posted a sub-23 in the 200 (22.90) and sprung a leap of 20 feet, 7.25 inches in the long jump. One can expect his name to be near the top of those events quite often this season.

Lauren Sharpe, Niwot track: The Niwot girls flexed their muscles at the RE-1J Track meet in Longmont last Saturday, specifically in winning every single relay. Sharpe was a part of the winning 1,600 team that came in at 4 minutes, 6.83 seconds, but she also won the high jump by clearing 5 feet. In individual runs, she placed second in the 200 (five hundredths of a second behind her sister, Rachel) and fourth in the 400.
