Boys peak performers

Justin Lee, Niwot basketball: Lee made five field goals while also nailing 10 of 12 free throws for 20 total points as the Cougars handled Fountain-Fort Carson in the opening round of the Fairview Festival.

Alec McLain, Broomfield basketball: Helped pace a ferocious rally in the fourth quarter against Liberty, and his 28 total points aided in the Eagles’ overtime victory at the Fairview Festival.

Girls peak performers

Madi Gaibler, Longmont basketball: As the Trojans jumped out to a large lead against Frederick, Gaibler was leading the charge. She finished with 19 points but was 9-for-11 from the floor, adding six rebounds and four steals in the win.

Rachel Clair, Dawson School basketball: Led three scorers in double digits with 16 points and added four assists and two steals in a win against Excelsior.
