FIRST TEAM

RANDALL BALL, Sr., and ANDREW POLLACK, Jr., Fairview: The Knights’ No. 2 doubles team gave Cherry Creek’s tandem a test in the finals, losing in straight sets 7-6, 6-3.

IGNATIUS CASTELINO, Jr., Fairview: The BoCoPreps.com Player of the Year will hope to break through in his senior season after three straight runner-up finishes at state.

BROCK DeHAVEN, Sr., and MAX PETRAK, So., Fairview: Fairview’s No. 1 doubles duo had all eyes on them in the finals against Cherry Creek after all the other matches had finished up and dropped a heartbreaking three-set marathon to the Bruins.

ALLEN FU, So., Niwot: After finishing fourth as a freshman at No. 3 singles, Fu moved up a position and made it to the finals at No. 2 singles, losing to Kent Denver’s Willie Gold.

SPENCER LANG, Jr., Niwot: Finished third at No. 1 singles in a deep 4A field and will try and find championship magic next season.

ALEC LEDDON, So., Fairview: Didn’t make it back to the finals, but there is no shame in finishing third at No. 2 singles in the 5A state tournament.

TOMMY MASON, Jr., Fairview: Made a brilliant run through the 5A No. 3 singles bracket before running into Cherry Creek freshman Ethan Hillis in the finals.

ROGER NICHOLS, Sr. and DEVIN HARPER, Fr., Fairview: The Knights’ No. 3 doubles team earned valuable team points with a three-set victory in the third-place match at state.

DREW PASMA, Sr., Niwot: Adapted to the singles game very well after last season’s appearance in the 4A finals at No 1 doubles, finishing fourth at No. 3 singles in Pueblo.

SADVIK SAINI, Sr. and CARTER PENTZ, Jr., Niwot: Rallied from a tough three-set loss in the semifinals to come back and earn a three-set win in the third-place match at No. 1 doubles.

CHARLIE STRAND, Sr., and JAKE KEARNEY, Sr., Fairview: Knights’ senior No. 4 doubles team went three sets with Creek in the finals, losing 6-1 in the deciding set.

DEREK WRIGHT, So., Monarch: Became the Coyotes’ first-ever state placer, finishing third at No. 3 singles.

COACH — Chad Tsuda, Fairview: Always has his team in contention at the state tournament and this year was no different. Tsuda’s club finished with 73 points to Cherry Creek’s record-setting 98.
