Class 4A boys state tennis tournament
Where: Pueblo City Park, Pueblo
When: First round matches begin at 9 a.m. on Thursday. Singles will be placed on court first and the doubles will follow as courts become available. Championship semifinals will begin at 9 a.m. on Friday. Playback matches will begin after semifinals are completed. All championship and third-place matches will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday.

Notes: The Niwot Cougars have finished runners-up to Cheyenne Mountain each of the past three seasons … Though just a junior, Longmont’s Jake Fell will be making his third straight singles appearance at the state tournament … Niwot’s Spencer Lang won the No. 3 singles state title as a freshman in 2011 and will be gunning for the No. 1 singles title his older brother Harrison Lang won last season … Silver Creek senior No. 2 singles player Amulya Srivastra enters the 2013 4A state tournament as a regional champion … The Broomfield Eagles enter the state tournament with five positions qualified, the same number as last year, after winning the Region 4 team championship … The only first-round matchup between two BoCoPreps.com area teams will take place at No. 4 doubles, where Niwot’s Isaac Ng and Peter Graham will face Silver Creek’s Max Frankenheimer and Isaac Sawvel.
