BEHROD KESHTAVAR, Peak to Peak golf — Keshtavar conquered the Pueblo Country Club last week to the tune of a 3-over 145 at the Class 3A State Tournament, finishing an impressive second-place in his final prep golf event. After an opening-round 72 to put himself in solid position, Keshtavar maintained his cool and fired a 73 on Day 2, moving up from fourth place in the individual standings, and with his finish as well as that of teammates, the Pumas tied for second place in the team standings.

 

Girls

KENZIE BROCK, Broomfield softball — The Eagles have won nine of their past 11 contests heading into Class 4A regional play, and last week was a busy one as BHS went 2-1 while scoring 30 runs. Brock was influential in getting plenty of those runs home, going 6 for 11 with six RBIs in all. She went 3 for 4 with four RBIs in an 11-1 win against Thompson Valley, threw in a hit in three at-bats against Mountain View, then added two more hits and two more RBIs in a win against Longmont. On the season, Brock is hitting an even .500.
