LONGMONT — Powered by a dominant singles effort, the Skyline tennis team cruised to a 6-1 victory over Erie Friday at the Falcons’ home court.

Sawyer Hayes, Connor Hayes and Cameron Bopp all won their matches in straight sets, setting the tone for the remainder of the afternoon. At No. 1 Sawyer didn’t drop a game, while Connor let only one slip in his 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 2. Bopp had little more trouble, taking the third slot match 6-1, 6-3.

Erie’s lone bright spot on the day came at No. 2 doubles, where Louis White and Jeremy Lesser knocked off Leon Dinh and Samuel Narvaez 6-2, 5-7, 1-0. But that match was overshadowed by the three other doubles affairs, each of which Skyline won handily.
