BROOMFIELD — Another day, another big win for the Broomfield softball team.

After handing Silver Creek its first Northern League loss of the season on Thursday, the Eagles came right back Friday to trounce Longmont 10-0 at home.

Starting pitcher Shelby Grandt registered her second win in the circle in as many nights, and was completely dominant in doing so. Grandt did not allow a single hit throughout her five innings of work. She also struck out six and walked none in the process.

Grandt was also a force at the plate, tripling and driving in two runs there. Junior Kenzie Brock did further damage, going 2-for-3 with a double and a triple while driving in two.

The win moves Broomfield to 7-5 on the year and 6-2 in Northern League play. They now trail the first place Raptors by one game. Longmont, meanwhile, falls to .500 on the season and sits in fifth place.
