RYAN YOUNGGREEN, Holy Family football — The junior running back enjoyed a banner day as Holy Family dominated D’Evelyn in a matchup of top 10 teams in Class 3A. Younggreen staked the Tigers to a quick 21-0 lead, scoring three consecutive touchdowns on runs of 38, 28, and 5 yards. Younggreen finished the afternoon with 130 rushing yards on 18 carries. He also was credited with three tackles on defense and had a 94-yard interception return called back due to a penalty.


KAITLYN BENNER, Monarch cross country — Benner set the pace for the defending Class 5A champs on Saturday, leading the Coyotes to the top of the 4A/5A team standings at the annual St. Vrain Invitational. Benner finished second in the 4A/5A field, completing the course in 19 minutes, 1 second.
