Next-level honors: Local baseball pair named all-conference

A pair of local baseball products were honored recently by the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

Both outfielder Scott Hoyt, a Silver Creek grad now playing at Colorado State-Pueblo, and relief pitcher Cody Lahman, a Niwot grad playing for Colorado Mesa, were named to the 16-player RMAC first-team all-conference list selected by conference coaches.

Hoyt, who is hitting .367 this spring for CSU-P, was also recognized as one of 10 players on the league’s gold glove team for his defensive prowess.
