TYLER LIS, Silver Creek swimming — Lis helped the claim the championship of the Northern League meet with a stellar performance. Lis placed first in the 200 individual medley, recording a winning time of 1 minute, 57.66 seconds, and also placed second in the backstroke.
GIRLS
NOLA BASEY, Lyons track and field — The Lions’ senior was one of the top individual performers of the Patriot League finals, winning three events and setting a 2A state record while leading Lyons to a second-place finish in the team standings. The DU volleyball recruit swept the three jumping events but was at her best in the triple jump, as her leap of 37 feet, 6.5 inches established a new 2A state record.
