Peak to Peak looks to continue its drive toward a second consecutive Class 3A title, while Holy Family faces a monumental road challenge. A look at the 3A quarterfinal matchups:

(9) Holy Family at (1) The Classical Academy

When: 7 p.m., Wednesday.

Records: Holy Family 8-5-1; TCA 13-2-1.

Notes: Holy Family entered the postseason having scored 33 goals during the regular season, but 26 of those occurred in three blowout victories. The Tigers, though, have rediscovered their scoring touch in the tournament, producing 10 goals in wins against Resurrection Christian and The Academy … Maddie Kuzik scored two goals to lead Holy Family’s 3-0 second-round win Saturday against The Academy … TCA allowed four goals in its first three games of the season but has surrendered only two in 13 games since … The Titans enter the match with a seven-game shutout streak … TCA, the 2011 3A state champ, has advanced at least into the quarterfinals every season since 2007 … The Titans’ attack has been paced by senior Meghan Troupe (13 goals, 13 assists), freshman Mikayla Murphy (14 goals), and junior Joanie Jacks (12 goals, seven assists) … The winner will play either St. Mary’s or defending state runner-up Colorado Academy in the semifinals on Saturday.

(10) Manitou Springs at (2) Peak to Peak

When: 6 p.m., Wednesday.

Records: Manitou Springs 12-4; Peak to Peak 13-2-2.

Notes: Peak to Peak has begun its defense of its 2012 3A state crown with tournament wins against Florence and Roaring Fork … Pumas senior Belle Morel ranks second in 3A and third in the state overall with 34 goals … Morel recorded five goals and one assist in a first-round win against Florence and added a goal and an assist in Saturday’s 3-1 win against Roaring Fork … Senior defender Galen Roda has helped lead the Pumas to 10 shutouts this season … Manitou has recorded tournament wins against Moffat County and Frontier Academy … The Mustangs boast four double-digit goal-scorers, a group that includes seniors Ashley Benson (18 goals, nine assists) and Ali Thompson (13 goals, 17 assists) … The winner will play either Coal Ridge or Kent Denver in the semifinals on Saturday.
