D’Evelyn leads Class 4A girls basketball in 3-pointers made. Pueblo West was an up-close witness Thursday.

The Jaguars hit 10 of 22 shots from behind the arc en route to a 61-51 win over Pueblo West in the semifinals, clinching a spot in the championship game for the second year in a row.

“It came down to our shooting,” said D’Evelyn senior Laura Tyree, who had a team-high 17 points. “That’s how we won this game.”

D’Evelyn (26-1) trailed 14-7 early in the second quarter, then hit five 3-pointers in the final 5:30 of the frame to turn the tide of the game.
