TAYLOR DORANS, Sr., Broomfield: The University of Wyoming recruit has been knocking on the door of a state title since her freshman year, with three top-six finishes in 4A.

KELLY MORAN, Sr., Fairview: The William and Mary recruit has her sites set on a top-10 finish in 5A after winning regionals a year ago.

JORDAN SUNSET, Sr., Fairview: A three-time state qualifier, the Northern Colorado recruit has climbed the ranks in 5A each season and is looking to go out with a bang.

SARAH HANKINS, Jr., Legacy: Seventh in 5A a year ago, Hankins is one big reason why the Lightning are harboring state title hopes.

ADARA PAULUHN, So., Skyline: After bursting onto the scene with a strong freshman campaign, the Falcon is aiming to drop her game into the low 70s on a consistent basis.

DELANEY ELLIOTT, Fr., Monarch: A strong junior player the past several years, the freshman joins a Coyotes bunch confident it can enjoy a resurgence this season.

Coach: Ryan Bishop (first year).

Last year: Ninth as a team at regionals.

Returning state qualifiers: None.

Others to watch: Alex Jaros (So.), Aly Beeman (Jr.), Leah Perletz (Jr.), Anna Cutler (Jr.), Helenia Christie (Jr.), Danielle Picard (So.), Gena Treppeda (Jr.).

Outlook: All varsity spots are up for grabs under new coach Ryan Bishop, with about 10 golfers vying for spots in the lineup. The Panthers, though young, are determined to improve upon last year’s league finish and qualify one or more golfers for state after missing out last year.

Coach: John Ferraro (10th year).

Last year: First as a team at regionals; fourth at 4A state tournament.

Returning state qualifiers: Taylor Dorans (Sr., 4th).

Others to watch: Carson Platnick (Jr.), Skylar George (Jr.), Karli Hughes (Jr.), Karly Kochevar (Jr.), Ally Devoogd (Jr.), Rachael McComick (Jr.)

Outlook: Dorans, a Wyoming recruit, is a serious state title contender after once again placing in the top 10 last season. Whether the Eagles can get their team back to state depends upon who steps up to fill the other varsity spots in the wake of multiple graduations. The Eagles boast a roster of 24, their largest ever.

Coach: Jeff Jackson (fifth year).

Last year: Placed ninth as a team at regionals.

Returning state qualifiers: None.

Others to watch: Mikayla Whitaker (So.), Casey Visscher (Jr.), Taylor Langer (Sr.), Jordan Keller (Sr.), Katy Johnson (Sr.), Megan Schaffer (Jr.).

Outlook: The Warriors are a young group trying to develop experience on the course, with lone state qualifier Halle Peterson gone to graduation. The Warriors will have to season their games quickly if they hope to compete in the tough Northern League.

Coach: John Zerwin (Second year).

Last year: Placed first as a team at regionals; third at 5A state tournament.

Returning state qualifiers: Kelly Moran (Sr., t11th), Megan McCambridge (Sr., t14th), Jordan Sunset (Sr., t25th).

Others to watch: Maddy Stewart (Jr.), Madison McCambridge (Fr.)

Outlook: With three state qualifiers back, including regional champion Kelly Moran, the Knights feel they’ve got the talent to win a state title. Their quest will be only aided by the depth brought by Stewart and Madison McCambridge, who figures to challenge for scoring spots in the lineup each meet.

Coach: Mark Glen (first year).

Last year: Finished second as a team at regionals; placed sixth at 5A state tournament.

Returning state qualifiers: Sarah Hankins (Jr., t7th), Morgan Stacks (Sr., t40th), Morgan Hoos (Sr., 48th).

Others to watch: Lisa From (Sr.), Jennifer Hankins (Fr.),

Outlook: Glen takes over in the plum position of inheriting three state qualifiers and a group the Lightning believe can also challenge for league and state titles if it plays consistently. Sarah Hankins is a bona fide individual title contender.

Coach: Michael Riley (15th year).

Last year: Placed 12th as a team at regionals.

Returning state qualifiers: None.

Others to watch: Elise Kinney (Sr.), Remy Mullen (So.), Delaney Elliott (Fr.), Taegan Brooks (So.), Caitlin York (So.), Madeline Parsons (So.).

Outlook: Monarch expects to climb the Front Range League ladder, led in part by an experienced sophomore group. Riley, who has added 2007 state champ and former Coyote and Oklahoma Sooner Brooke Collins to his coaching staff, also expects big things from three-time letterwinner Kinney and talented freshman Elliott.

Coach: Missy Schreiner (third year).

Last year: Didn’t field scoring squad at regionals.

Returning state qualifiers: None.

Others to watch: Emily Long (So.), MacKenzie Murphy (So.), Yaejin Lee (Sr.).

Outlook: The upside of having an almost entire roster of new players a year ago is that the Pumas return much of the core of that group. Now they must keep improving if Peak to Peak hopes to send anyone to state. Senior Linnea Danielson and junior Tara Gomer are both injured and their status is unknown for the season.

Coach: Meredith Bender (second year).

Last year: Placed fifth as a team at regionals.

Returning state qualifiers: Adara Pauluhn (So., t32nd).

Others to watch: Janti Klimecki (Sr.), Claire McPeak (Fr.), Alyssa Ashton (Jr.).

Outlook: The Falcons return just two of their top five players from a year ago. But Pauluhn is ready to build on her strong freshman campaign, and Bender expects some low rounds from Klimecki. Along with experienced additions like McPeak and Ashton, the Falcons believe they can qualify for state as a team.
