Boulder High grad Miles Havlick keeps racking up the honors at the collegiate level.
The University of Utah senior on Thursday was named the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association Men’s Nordic MVP.
This marks the second year in a row that Havlick has won the award based on the total accumulation of NCAA qualification points during the league’s four regular-season meets, including both classical and freestyle races.
Havlick won the last four races of the season, sweeping the New Mexico and Utah invitationals. He won five of eight RMISA races in all this season and finished second in another.
“Being named MVP during my senior season is a huge honor, especially in an RMISA field as competitive as this one,” Havlick said in a release. “This award really belongs to all my teammates as well. We have been feeding off each other’s successes all season, and it’s very motivating to go 1-2 in the MVP ranking with my fellow Ute Elnar Ulsund.”
