Class 5A regional tennis assignments have been set now that league tournaments are finished.

Both Fairview and Boulder were already slated to host tournaments this week. But Legacy and Monarch were up in the air with regard to where they’d be heading.

Class 5A this year moved to a system where regional hosts are predetermined but the rest of the assignments are based upon league touranment finish.

Fairview will host Brighton, Mountain Vista, Smoky Hill, Eaglecrest, Mountain Range and Ponderosa in the Region 2 tournament on Tuesday and Wednesday. Boulder will host the Region 4 tournament at the University of Colorado South Campus courts on Thursday and Friday, with Arapahoe, Rangeview, Ralston Valley, Castle View, Greeley West and Horizon slated for attendance.

Monarch, meanwhile, heads to the Region 3 meet at Cherry Creek on Thursday and Friday, while Legacy will be at the Region 8 tournament at Fort Collins and Fossil Ridge high schools on Thursday and Friday.

Class 4A regional tournament assignments were predetermined as they have been in past years. Regionals that include area 4A squads are as follows:

–Alexander Dawson will play in the 4A Region 1 meet at Colorado Academy on Thursday and Friday.

–Peak to Peak will play at the 4A Region 2 tourney at Kent Denver on Thursday and Friday.

–Holy Family will paly at the 4A Region 3 meet on Wednesday and Thursday at Mullen.

–Niwot will play at the 4A Region 4 meet at Greeley Central on Thursday and Friday.

–Broomfield, Centaurus, Erie, Longmont, Silver Creek and Skyline will all play at the 4A Region 5 tourney hosted by Broomfield at the Broomfield Swim and Tennis Club on Wednesday and Thursday.
