The Silver Creek volleyball team will be pulling in several strong squads from around the state for its eight-team Best of the Best tournament on Saturday, including Class 4A defending state champion Cheyenne Mountain.
Other teams involved are 2011 4A semifinalist Roosevelt, Evergreen, Sterling, D’Evelyn, Mullen, Durango and, of course, Silver Creek, a 4A state tournament qualifier last fall.
Pool play begins at 8 a.m., with two courts running throughout the day. Seventh-place and third-place matches will be played at 3:30 p.m. Fifth-place and championship matches are slated for 5 p.m.
