JOHNNY FEAUTO, Fairview football — The sophomore quarterback shined in his starting debut, leading the Knights to a 42-7 opening-week win at Poudre. Despite throwing three interceptions, Feauto nonetheless displayed impressive poise in his first start in place of injured starter Anders Hill, going 21 for 36 for 351 yards. Feauto also threw a pair of touchdown passes, finding Sam Martin for a 28-yard score before capping Fairview’s scoring with a 14-yard touchdown strike to Matt Koch.

ADDY LOFSTEDT, Monarch volleyball — The Coyotes’ outside hitter got her senior season off to a fine start by averaging 12.5 kills as Monarch split its first four contests. Lofstedt was particularly impressive during Monarch’s two wins at the annual Regis tournament, collecting 15 kills, eight digs, and five aces to lead an epic five-game win against Columbine. She followed that effort by posting 19 kills and 10 digs in a 3-1 win against Fruita Monument.
