Peak to Peak graduate Anna Labozan earned an impressive award on Wednesday as she received academic All-American honors from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America.
Labozan, who will be a junior this fall at the University of Denver, was one of 12 Pioneers swimmers to receive the honor. All athletes who received the award needed to post at least one NCAA consideration time while compiling a G.P.A. of at least 3.5.
A product of the Monarch swim team, Labozan set a DU record in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4 minutes, 47.23 seconds while finishing second at the Sun Belt Conference championships. Labozan also was part of the Pioneers’ league championship 800 freestyle relay team, which set a school and conference record with a time of 7:16.10.
