State baseball: Saturday’s Broomfield, Longmont games postponed, 3A Holy Family still on schedule

Rain Saturday morning wiped out scheduled Class 4A state baseball tournament games, including those for Longmont and Broomfield.

Broomfield, which is 2-0 in the double-elimination tourney, will play Cheyenne Mountain at 3 p.m. Sunday at All-Star Park in Lakewood.

Longmont, 1-1 so far in tourney play, plays at 2:30 p.m. Monday against the winner of the Canon City-Windsor game earlier that day. Those games, originally scheduled to be played at Cherokee Trail High School, will be held at Denver’s All-City Stadium.

State soccer and girls lacrosse are on as scheduled on Saturday, while the state track meet is running after a brief delay to start the day. State swimming is indoors and running as planned.

Check back at later for complete coverage of all area teams’ action.
