Mead senior basketball player Austin Hartley has committed to play at Nebraska Wesleyan University next season, Mead coach Darin Reese said Wednesday.
Hartley was pivotal in the Mavericks’ turnaround from a 7-15 season in their first year of varsity competition last year to one that went 15-8 and reached the state tournament this year.
The 6-foot-5 forward averaged 17.3 points, 9.1 rebounds, 2.6 blocks and 2.1 assists per game this season.
