MARTIN WALLACE, Broomfield swimming — The senior distance specialist enjoyed a stellar performance at the annual Dick Rush Memorial Coaches Invitational. Facing the top competition in the state, Wallace placed first in the 500 freestyle and finished third in the 200 freestyle. Wallace set school records in each event, winning the 500 in 4 minutes, 41.08 seconds and posting a 1:42.69 in the 200.


ERIN McLAUGHLIN, Boulder girls track and field — McLaughlin was one of the Panthers’ standouts at the Broomfield Invitational, winning the 3,200 meter run. McLaughlin knocked more than eight seconds off her seed time, winning the race in 11 minutes, 13.68 seconds. It was the second victory McLaughlin has posted in the 3,200 this season, and she also won the 1,600 at a triangular meet against Fairview and Monarch.
