Shelton: Broomfield boys basketball’s seniors, from nerves to bucket lists

There are plenty of reasons to get geeked up about being a Final Four team. Hey, you are one of the last four teams in your classification still playing basketball. Enough said.

Here are some video interviews with top-seed Broomfield boys basketball’s starting three seniors. Brandon Little, Nick Ongarato and Austin Wood talk about what it is like to make it to this point in the season. Some of the conversation wanders to top-seed Sierra, which the Eagles face 5:30 p.m. today, at the Coors Event Center. But the Eagles’ eldest players also have their own takes on what it feels like and means to be a semifinalist — ranging from fighting nerves to checking off bucket lists.

One thing all three of the seniors have in common, however, they are all ready to win in the big house.
